2009 Pontiac Solstice Coupe – 2008 NY Auto Show
In spite of its comparably clumsy convertible top, the Pontiac Soltsice outsells the Mazad MX-5 and every other roadster in America. The addition of an attractive targa-topped coupe promises to strengthen that sales lead. Removing the roof panel and storing it in the rear promises to be an even more time-consuming operation than folding the roadster’s origami soft top, but so is the case with eveyr other targa. Engine choices will include the same 173-horsepower and turobcharged 260-horsepwoer units offered in the roadster. Look for it in early 2009 at prices that should be in line with the roadsters’.
